 Welcome to your official source for all things JMU A Cappella. Here you'll find audition information, concert and event dates, and news from all nine of our student-led groups. We host auditions at the start of every semester and continue to search for new and exciting talent. We strive to "be the change" in a community that values music and philanthropy. ​

Exit 245 was featured on the BOCA 2020 (Best of College A Cappella) compilation album for their track "Youngblood" and Voices Only 2019 for their track "715 - Creeks".

The BluesTones won Best Female Collegiate Solo for Bianca Galvez's performance on "Bass Song," and were nominated for Best Female Collegiate Album, Best Female Collegiate Arrangement (Paula Naanou, "Stay"), and Best Female Collegiate Song ("Stay") at the 2018 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards. They were also featured on BOCA 2019 (Best of College A Cappella) and Voices Only 2019 for their track "Tell Me How".

The Overtones were nominated for Outstanding Choreography and Staging, Outstanding Video Editing, and received runner-up for Best Mixed Collegiate Video on "Say Love" at the 2019 A Cappella Video Awards. They were also featured on BOCA 2019 (Best of College A Cappella) and Voices Only 2018 for their track "Haze." Most recently, OT was nominated for a Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award for Best Country Song ("Losing Sleep").

Note-oriety and The Madison Project competed in the 2019 ICCA Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinal, with Note placing third overall. This spring, Note-oriety also won Best R&B and Female Collegiate Video for their track "R&B Medley" at the 2019 A Cappella Video Awards.
